Photography Challenge: Developing Your Eye

Day Three: Prompt-Water

I find Udaipur immensely fascinating. Fondly called the Venice of India, this beautiful city nestled in the lap of the Aravallis in Rajasthan, India has two beautiful lakes – Lake Pichola and Fatehsagar Lake. These water bodies are cradles of biodiversity. In the winters, one can spot flocks of migratory birds on the lakes and their surroundings.

This photograph was clicked near Laal Ghaat. Here is another photograph from the trip that seems to go well with the prompt.

Gangaur Ghat is an iconic structure in Udaipur. You reach it through winding alleys and narrow lanes that have a quintessential Rajasthani charm written over them. The three storeyed structure has three iconic arches. It is named after Gangaur- a popular festival and a revered deity in Mewar. If you reach the Ghat early in the morning, you can see pigeons in flight, hear a few local musicians strumming tunes from Rajsthani folk songs and enjoy a gorgeous breeze creating a peaceful ambience like no other.

Here is a list of the other photographs I have taken so far for the Developing Your Eye challenge.
